Love

The dimpled smile
Below her little eyes
Innocent talk
And the honest heart
The care for everyone else
And for me the most.
That smile at my first sight
After waiting whole night
Then fills my heart
With delight and glee.
She fights with her pillow
And makes my heart wave billow
She says I am his teddy bear
Everything gonna be alright
And fills my eyes with glare
When whispers I love your stare.

Can Love Happen Twice?

Recently, I read the most awaited novel Can Love Happen Twice? of Ravinder Singh the author of I too had a love story.. It is an easy read and you can complete it in 4-5 hours at max if your reading speed is good and if you find at least something interesting in it or you got some curiosity to know about Ravin’s (author) life.

But I believe you will not get to know much about the real truth because it seems it is half imaginative and half real. As the author himself had written in the preliminary pages that “maybe this is my story, maybe not, maybe it is only partly my story, maybe not, maybe it is an amalgamation of several stories that my readers write to me , maybe not.” There are so many maybes but I think it is only partly his story. As what happened with Ravin in the end of the book cannot be true logically because at present he is doing MBA and you will also feel after reading that it is just fictitious.  So the novel is only maybe partly his story.

Now let’s get back to the book. It is about a guy Ravin (who is might be the author himself) who got a onsite project in Belgium and after spending 2-3 weeks alone there except working finds a girl named Simar who is doing here MBA there. Then they started talking and meeting more often and next thing is very obvious they fell in love and love happened second time. The rest of the part of their story is history which happens in every love story that they started romancing, making love, sharing their time & things, having dinners, coffees and so on.

And after 10 months or so the guy has to get back to India and they got parted with physical distance as well as with distances in their hearts. Ravin wants to marry her but Simar wants to live her life with all the liberties and therefore, she keep on giving various excuses and ignoring him. Why she did not want to marry him have some other serious reasons and to know that you should read the book.

The most stupid thing that I found in the story are the reasons given by the girl for not marrying him. There is nothing much in the story except the romancing and fun they do which might makes you wish that it happen in your life too. Only good thing you will learn from this novel is that if you meet very frequently then you should try to leave far away for some time and it will help you in knowing it is true love or not because long-distance relationships needs patience

Ravinder Singh’s last and debut novel I too had a love story.. was really awesome it made a lasting impact on my mind and heart too, most of you will agree with me if you had read that one but this one is not so good. Like the last one this one also had a sad ending but it did not touch my heart much, may be because I don’t like love stories much now. I read this only because I wanted to know what happened with Ravin after Khushi’s demise.

And to the answer of the book’s title I would say yes, love can happen twice if only you let it happen but still first love is first love.

Innocence

He was half seated and half standing on the balcony in his light blue colored walker, his grandmother was standing on the gate of balcony looking at him and the kids playing with colors and water on the streets. He was looking here and there and inspecting the surroundings which he does not get a chance to see more often on his own tiny foots.

That day it was Holi - the festival of colors and happiness, everyone was enjoying and playing with gulal and other variety of dark colors with water.  So he got a chance to see and enjoy the ambience of that day and his grandmother let him enjoy on his own.

The kids in the street and the house opposite were playing and throwing cold colored water on each other and laughing with their faces masked with colors-red, blue, green, yellow, pink even silver and grey. None of them were easy to recognize.

He noticed them and started laughing and shouting in cheer with twinkle in his eyes and pink cheeks. I heard his voice and walked towards the window to see what’s going on, I reached on my room’s window and saw him happily smiling, laughing and enjoying the festival.

I stayed there on the window for a while to see him and a smile came to my face without any reason by looking at his cute face and innocent gesture. He walked from one side of the balcony to the other with help of his walker and holding the grill. He tried to touch the window on the wall which was not in his reach, because he was too small to touch it. He again started walking slowly to the other side enjoying his newly learned skill of walking through his walker smiling and touching the wall and grill.

His dad came out from the other gate to check him and asks mocking his voice into a child’s voice “what are you doing Sakshat?”

He struggle to turn back and look at his dad innocently then continued to walk to the opposite side ignoring him and walked inside from the other gate to his grandmother.

And I also went back to my novel reading and thinking about the innocence and carefree time we have while we are small everyone pampers you and look at your every move happily. But as soon as you are grown up everyone starts finding mistakes in your every step.
